Welcome back to Saucy Saturday #5 everyone! It feels like our last virtual party was just a couple of days ago! And before you know it, we are about to host another one. But hey, as long it’s a party, no matter what kind, count me in! 🙂
Choosing our features this week honestly wasn’t easy. It’s so great to see so many wonderful recipes and creations all in one place, and we really appreciate the turnout and the support of everyone, while we try to build a fun community here! With our features this week, we decided to go with the theme of a 5 course meal. Our version of a 5 course meal that is. 🙂
But before we get to that, here’s a quick recap of what my week was like!
Here’s what I did this week
I realized that I have never posted a scone recipe on my blog, even though I make scones pretty much every week. So I decided to change that with these tender, moist, buttery Coffee, Bacon and Date Scones!
Plus, I just had to celebrate the end of National Ice Cream month with this addictively delicious summer treat – Kahlua and Cherry Ice Cream! (You can easily substitute the alcohol with coffee, for a non-alcoholic option too).
So what do I have in store for you guys next week? You’re going to want to stick around for that. My blog turns ONE next week, so it’s going to be special! 🙂
On to the party and our Five Course Meal! 🙂
And remember guys, please visit other links and show some love and appreciate the wonderful creativity that everyone brings to the table here. And while you’re at it, do check out the blogs of this link party’s hosts too! 🙂
IF YOU WERE FEATURED TODAY – DON’T FORGET TO GRAB THE BUTTON TO DISPLAY ON YOUR BLOG! 🙂

Saucy Saturday Features
I know that Kale may not be for everyone, but thankfully I LOVE kale! I mean, I just love the stuff. Stir fried, raw, in curries, baked, whatever. I will eat it, no questions asked. So give me a kale salad, with peaches to boot? This Grilled Kale and Peaches Salad from A Mindfull Mom is definitely a great way to start off our version of a 5 course meal! 🙂
Another delicious recipe from A Mindfull Mom that we just couldn’t turn our backs on was these Sloppy Joe’s in Potato Skins! How delicious does that sound? Plus it’s Gluten Free & healthier for you. I would have a hard time stopping at one portion, that’s for sure.
In this version of a 5 course meal, a great cocktail is a must. I will gladly have a WHOLE PITCHER of this Black-berry mint ginger fizz by Grey is the New Black. Really.
How does Pizza for main course sound? I’m always keen to try an Asian twist on pizza and this one sounds perfect. It’s got a great combo of cheese and spices and so many wonderful flavours. I would love to have this Rajma Chawal Pizza from Yummily Yours for mains any day! Oh and get this – it’s Vegetarian & Gluten Free too (with a RICE crust!). That’s genius.
No meal is complete without a dessert, of course (although I’d gladly have a dessert be my complete meal sometimes). A couple of slices of this beautiful, fresh, light Peach Crumb Cake from An Italian in my Kitchen would be the perfect end to the festivities!
