Take 1 highball cocktail glass (11 - 12 oz capacity), and add some ice to the glass.
Ice to serve
Add the pearl luster dust into the glass.
⅛ tsp pearl luster dust
Pour the empress gin, sparkling water (up to 2 - 3 fl oz), and herbal simple syrup, and stir to mix.
2 fl oz empress gin, 3 fl oz sparkling water, ½ fl oz herbal simple syrup
Add the lemon juice.
2 fl oz lemon juice
Pour the blue curacao into the drink. The liqueur should slowly sink to the bottom.
½ fl oz blue curacao
Place the back of a spoon just under the surface of the liquid, and pour the second amount of gin over the back of the spoon, so that it floats on the surface. This should create a thin purple layer of gin on top.

Garnish the cocktail with a sprig of rosemary, or a twist of lemon. Place a straw and serve.

Notes
You can make your own color changing gin at home using this recipe for color changing alcohol. Make sure to use a clear gin.Instead of herbal simple syrup, you can use regular simple syrup or increase the amount of blue curacao. However, this will increase the blue hue in the drink. You can also leave it out. The cocktail will only be a little less sweet, which some readers may prefer!See the post for details on how to make a non-alcoholic witches brew Halloween drink.Instead of sparkling water, you can use,Tonic water Champagne Ginger beer or ginger ale Sprite or lemon soda
