A few months ago, I made this amazing Vanilla Rose and White Chocolate Cocktail inspired by my Sri Lankan Falooda drink, but never got around to publishing it on the blog until today. It’s a delightfully delicious, sweet, creamy, floral white chocolate cocktail flavoured with a Rose syrup made from scratch and it also has a very romantic feel to it because of that gorgeous red, pink colours. I decided to take that romantic vibe a step further, and made these beautiful fondant rose petals to garnish that cocktail.
So if you guys have fondant tools (which are easy to find in any cake decorating supplies store, or some supermarkets or on Amazon), here’s a SIMPLE tutorial on how to make those gorgeous and very realistic-looking Fondant Rose Petals, so you can decorate absolutely anything you want with edible flower petals like these! 🙂

These are stunning, Dini! Really beautiful! I can’t wait for an opportunity to try this! Thank you so much for taking the time to make the tutorial. Now a question about photography (I need major photography tutoring.) I have always enjoyed your photos, but they seem to be even prettier and enticing recently. The photos in this post are AMAZING. Any tips you could share?

Love this Dini! I’ve never used this foam before! Is it just like egg crate foam?
Dini says
Thank you Julie!! Yes! It is like egg crate foam, but you can easily use an egg packaging box too, or small half sphere moulds. The petals can be dried out in the cavities in there. If you can’t find or don’t want to buy the Fondant foam, you can get a cheaper foam for that too – like a piece of mattress foam!
